I hiked Long's Peak on Saturday, October 5th and unfortunately, while taking a break on our ascent, I set down my camera bag. I didn't notice until a few hundred feet up that I left my camera bag and decided to hold off on our search until our descent. Unfortunately, II was unable to find my camera/camera bag on the descent.
If anyone finds it or sees it in the trailhead lost and found, please let me know. I was absolutely devastated losing my beloved camera of 8 years!!
Thank you all,
CE

Oh no! I would hate to lose my camera, as well. Has somebody returned it yet? If not, you might consider posting this on the 14ers.com Facebook page, as well. Still plenty of people hitting Longs while the weather remains spectacular. I MIGHT be up there Friday, I'm not sure yet. Can you give a rough idea of the area you might have set it down at?

If you haven't already I would also contact the Longs Peak Ranger Station and main office lost and found. I think sometimes it takes a bit if items are turned into the Longs Peak station for it to make it to the main lost and found, so I would try both.
Good luck!

Regarding the location, I set it down sometime after passing the bathroom in the boulder field. I believe it's somewhere between the bathroom and the keyhole off to the side of the main trail as I was taking a small break and catching my breath at the time. If you happen to see it, please let me know!!

Thank you,
Colin
