Best of luck both of you! Another hypothetical, in this circumstance, if you both finish quicker than the women’s current supported time does that count as Andrea beating the women’s record too?

Yes. If we beat the women’s record, the next woman to attempt would need to beat the time we set, but we still would categorize it as “co-ed”

Obviously you two will start at the same place / same time in Chicago Basin, and the clock will stop when you both reach 3000' below Longs, but will you also be standing on every summit concurrently? Or if one of you is grooving, will they be allowed to boogie ahead and e.g. start sourcing water somewhere, etc? Or will you go one step further and each be standing at the 3000' mark below each summit at the same time?
hey! we generally stay together. We have done 2 Nolans together and yeah maybe one of us is 20 feet ahead or so, but we are generally getting water together and hiking together. We don't need to push our summit buttons together, but we are always on top of the peaks together and will start and stop our trackers at the same time.
Not tied together? Something like a three legged race? Mosquito Pass burro race rules?

Wish you both the best of luck! I know it's probably not enough to slow you two down but there is still a bit of snow up high in Chicago Basin. Folks were turned back on Eolus and Sunlight on Sat..

As a sports fan, I have to say this is a highlight of the summer! You'll be going concurrently with the Tour de France... Good luck!

My wife Carol and I have also done all of the 58, but there are three we've never done together. If we go back for them, we'll be over 30 years...

Hey thanks for that picture, its actually quite helpful! We have been out scouting a lot, but could not make it to Chicago Basin. The snow is is really trying to hold on this year up high. Unfortunately it really seems to slow us down. Even when it feels like it is making us faster, by the end of the day we are way more tired than expected and we aren't hitting any of our splits.
