Pink Floyd surprisingly on a lot of lists. I listened to them a lot as a teen and then one day realized they are the most depressing thing I've ever listened to and gave up on it. But they do get a mention for one of my favorite song titles. 'Careful With That Axe Eugene'.

I saw Def Leppard when they opened for Blackfoot (yeah, who?), we didn't know who they were.

Led Zeppelin was enormously talented but Jimmy Page, as it turned out, was a despicable human being.

Favorite album- Nightfly by Steely Dan alum Donald Fagen.
"Quicker than I can tell it, my hands failed to hold, my feet slipped, and down I went with almost an arrow’s rapidity. An eternity of thought, of life, of death, wife, and home concentrated on my mind in those two seconds. Fortunately for me, I threw my right arm around a projecting boulder which stood above the icy plain some two or three feet." Rev. Elijah Lamb

Good question. My top 5-10 fluctuates but my top 2 have always been Rush and Van Halen, not necessarily in that order. Right now, I would put 311, AC/DC and Fleet Foxes to round out the top 5.

Neat, how cool is this?! My thread, so I get to commentate and please feel free to do so also!

Cooling Listings (imo)/comments:
- Janis Joplin Live concert
- Marley ----> Live Marley show > live dead show ??????
- Allman Brothers (not just Eat a peach, but their live stuff, plus they really got down with 2 sets of drums)
- Live Dave Matthews before they went completely to s**t (ie the stone, 2 step = amazing)
- Radiohead (music junkie AndYouSeeMe and I put "Reckoner" in the top 5 best songs of all time)
- Metallica
- Love the punk shout outs including Dead Kennedys but sorry DaveB i'd go old school afi (or mayyybe bad religion) > old school nofx

Bands/Musicians Sad to see Not on the List:
- The Doors
- Cat Stevens
- Zevon (dude has a song called "My s**t's Fucked Up", I mean come on...)
- Korn (Go watch their 99 woodstock performance on Youtube)
- Queen? (Best vocals of all time???)
- Wu Tang and maybe Tribe Called Quest

And the Most interseting of them all:

Totally remember seeing this on the venue and thinking, huh...? Very cool to see you thought it was awesome.
