It may not be a benefit to some but to others yes, it is. I am an example. I am now working seasonal jobs on purpose. I get 3 months off, my wages are adequate, and I do fun work outdoors. Not for some but the definition of "benefit " varies from person to person. Everything has a pro and con component.
Another option is to start your own business, although I understand that is a really tough gig and I can't say I have ever done it.
