Interesting choice to do Gash first from Lindsey but have it during the day rather than at night. This will put LB Blanca traverse at dusk if not night. Unless he opts for the standard route up LB. But then he also would have to come out Lake Como road at night and will be on the west side of the Sangres which is a longer approach via cottonwood lake rather than south colony. I assume he would just have a longer transition and drive around to approach the Crestones via South Colony. I do like his idea to hit the gash ridge during the day tho. Curious on everyone’s thoughts on this choice.

Good question Broderick, I’m curious as well. How does Gash Ridge compare to traverses like LB-Blanca and Wilson-ED?

Amazing effort thus far, Drew! Keep it going (and stay safe).

Pretty incredible how fast these FKT'ers are. Having done the majority of them, hard to get my head around the sheer speed and endurance needed, plus the mental fortitude to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Very impressive...keep it up!

Seems the agreed on fastest route goes Lindsey>Blanca>Ellingwood, down and back up LB standard Como out. No one above you in the hourglass in the middle of the night! Then Willow Creek approach Challenger>KC>Stones>Humboldt picked up at Colony then Pikes for an “easier” peak before the big Sawatch/Elk efforts where he and Chris Fisher both were forced out last year. He’s crushing so far. Looking forward to seeing the rest of his plan we don’t know yet.

Good call and it looks like the choice not to tackle both ridges is working out well. And yes of course it makes more sense to tackle the Crestones and KC via Willow Lake. That is also a long approach but definitely easier than Cottonwood.
