yea...amazing its been that long. 18 yrs since I stood atop my first 14er. Looking at my notes, even harder to believe I/we (or my partner and I) were alone on the summit on 39 of them. Not sure if that's possible these days.

TYBM!

The best "hobbyist" website ever, reliable and complete information, and great apps too. It'll take ten developers to replace you!

Thank you, Jim!

What we truly need is an AI-powered humanoid capable of summiting 14ers each summer, meticulously documenting and updating the routes. Imagine a futuristic counterpart to the Google car, scrambling around on the peaks. Tell me that won't happen!!

You and Andrew should collaborate on that!

Good article, thanks for posting.

14ers.com has introduced me to so many partners and friends and inspired endless adventures since 2009. It literally kept me alive while I lacked an ounce of mountain sense. Thank you Bill for creating and nurturing this thing--what a gift!

When I moved here for the first time for an internship I probably spent way more time looking at the routes on this site then my actual job. This place kick started my fervor for the mountains, and the only reason I was able to progress as quickly as I did. I've made a good handful of friends here and will always remember my 14er journey.

While I typically don't look at route descriptions anymore, that's only possible because of the hundreds of ascents I've made since. Thanks for all of it Bill!
