Keplinger's Thursday

Post by NathanRL »

Anyone want to ski Keplinger's Couloir on Longs Thursday? Looks like a decent freeze. Or I'd be down to do anything else within a couple hours of the Front Range, like the Y Couloir on Pikes or Refrigerator on Ice. I'm fairly experienced and fairly fast in the backcountry, skied Conundrum Couloir the other day, and down for whatever.

I can't do Thursday, but if you go, please provide a conditions update. I made an attempt a week and a half ago and left an update. I was surprised at how thin the main couloir was getting right after that bigger storm and couldn't validate whether homestretch was in, so would potentially be interested Friday-Monday if it is all skiable now.

Will do, hope the new snow that fell in the last few days has balanced out the melting since you were up there!

That route was one of my favorites, here's a picture of my brother starting up the homestretch from back in 2008 https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/sho ... -4-27-2008.

That's an awesome TR, looks like you got it in pretty great conditions too. Was fairly full of debris Thursday, but I still love the route, also how isolated it is.
