Info: Still a large snowfield covering much of the upper route. Please be sure to walk on the snow as much as possible, and when/where you can't, walk on the most durable surfaces available (stay on the talus, don't walk on the plants.)

Info: Started at the Mount Sherman TH at 4:30AM. Trail is dry for about the first mile, then pretty much continuous snow to Dyer. Used mountaineering boots, micro spikes and poles all day, but probably could have gotten away with trail runners if I left a half hour earlier. Snow got crappy around 9:00AM. Summited Sherman, Gemini and Sheridan in addition to Dyer. Perfect, sunny, windless day. 9.34 miles / 4,094' gain / 5 hours, 17 minutes

Info: Hiked from Leadville, eventually gaining the saddle between Little Ellen and West Dyer. Had lots of small collapses on very low angle terrain, and even in snowshoes was punching knee-deep through a couple of crusts. Gained west dyer, dropped to saddle, and climbed dyer’s west ridge, which was phenomenal fun but took quite a while with punchy snow. I descended north to regain the groomed Weston pass road but not before postholing through an oven. Finally made it back, 12 hour day town to town. It’s worth noting the prevalence of large cornices and a few avalanche scars on leeward faces. The wind a couple days ago really worked the landscape.

Info: Summited Dyer via SE ridge from Gemini/Sherman. One small snowfield to traverse near the summit. All other snow is avoidable.

Info: The west ridge is a great scramble. Mostly solid rock and the major cruxes can easily be bypassed. Highly recommend!! 

Route: Southeast Slopes

Info: Road is clear of snow, trail is clear of snow. 100% summer conditions. Wildflowers are just starting. Decided to connect to Mount Evans B and it made for a beautiful day, 5.4 miles and 2850 ft gain RT including both peaks. If you continue to Mount Evans B, there is 1-2 C2+ sections but otherwise lots of grassy slopes and a little bit of talus hopping

Info: Road up to Mosquito Pass has several large snowdrifts and fields to cross, but was fairly firm. From Mosquito Pass, was able to avoid all snow - west side is clear, east slopes from ridge holding snowfields and cornice. Scrambling between Evans and Dyer does not exceed class 3, but may require some route finding.

Info: Some snow crossings but nothing that required spikes or axe - can be 99% avoided. Melting quickly - lots of runoff in the afternoon.

Info: Dyer and Evans from Leadville side today. The snowmobile highway is in great shape, no flotation needed today. The west slope to Evan's ridge was fairly windblown also, it was easy to get up. The short narrow ridge between Evans and Dyer was great fun, really enjoyed it, no traction needed. Warm sunny day with little wind.

Info: Climbed Dyer today with Mount Sherman and Gemini Twins. Fantastic day out - minus some gnarly wind - with mostly summer conditions on the route. Really fun and scenic ridge walk from Gemini to Dyer that has some exposure. There are some random patches of snow but they are easily avoidable and very short. Microspikes were not required today for any of the peaks.

Info: Some snow covered ledges in a few spots but all avoidable. There are several options for climbing through the chimney section. I also thought the crux was a downclimb near the top of the route; I may have missed a bypass but I chose the least exposed way down. The rock quality was surprisingly good and IMO this is a quality, underrated scramble.

Info: Did Weston Peak to EvansB and down Mosquito Pass road as a long ridge traverse... Effectively summer conditions, some snow on Horseshoe and Dyer, but otherwise dry.
