Route: From silver creek

Info: Climbed Cooper Creek -> 13170 -> every with marsh. Started up silver creek, which has a few inconsequential snowfields up to our turnoff at 12.2k. dry rib up to the summit ridge, then a minor bit of snow up to the summit. Out and backed the ridge to 170. That ridge is loooooong, at least 2.5 miles each way. No snow that affects the route. We largely stayed high on the ridge, but dropped down to the east twice to dodge towers. Some loose third class to navigate. The remainder of the ridge is straightforward (tough false summit-y) and even has some trails. Once back at the Cooper Creek/every saddle, every is a talus hop to the summit. Some trails as well. For the descent, the trail to the west east covered by crappy snow, so we backtracked to the cc/every saddle and dropped to the bottom of the basin, then snaked our way on dry ground as best as possible to the Cooper Creek trail and walked the road back to our car. 15.5 mi, 5600 gain, 9:40

Info: Summer conditions. Creek is still high, but managed. Waterproof, ankle high, hiking boots and poles helped.

Info: Followed wildwanderers TR up to Every and cooper creek peaks. Have to cross maybe 5 feet of snow total. Summer conditions. Creek running very high, made the crossings interesting.

Info: Couple snowfields down low that I crossed, firm and no traction used. Avoidable if you want to, but it was the easiest way to cross the creek.

Route: Cooper Creek TH

Info: We parked/camped at Grizzly Gulch and drove to Cooper Creek TH in the morning. There are a few big snow fields to manage but they are relatively short. We decided to do this clockwise summiting Every Mtn first which we think was the right call because of the slope coming off of Cooper Creek Pk. About 2.75 miles in there is an obvious trail that side hills across the slope to 12,200'. We then crossed the upper part of Cooper Creek and then took another fairly obvious trail (shown on CalTopo) to the ridge at 12,800'. From there it's ridge walkin' to Every Mtn and Cooper Creek Pk. We backtracked a little and went down the slope but it had enough loose material that we were glad we went clockwise. (11.60 mi; 3,738' gain; 6:33:40 time) Start at TH 6:10am; Every Mtn 9:25am; Cooper Creek Pk 10:25am; Back to TH 12:45pm

Route: From \"Every Mountain\"
Posted On: 11/1/2020, By: supranihilest
Info: From "Every Mountain" there's a brief drop to the saddle down super loose garbage rock. There's snow mixed in but not a ton. The remaining hike to "Cooper Creek Peak" is easy, though pretty much everything is junky scree and talus. Plenty of snow but also plenty of ways to avoid most of it. On the return we came back to the saddle with "Every Mountain" and then went down from there. Don't go too far west or you'll run into an extremely loose, steep, and deep eroded gully. You'll want to descend far prior to that. If it ever gets too steep for comfort you're in the wrong spot, go find something that's less steep. Still plenty of snow along the way. Once in the flats we stayed north of the snowline and made our way back to the trail up the drainage. We wore trail runners but boots would probably be more appropriate. Ice axe and traction not needed.

Route: SE Ridge
Posted On: 6/30/2020, By: thebeave7
Info: Did the traverse from pk13832 over to Cooper Creek pk via the southeast ridge. Far looser and sketchier than expected, appeared very poor quality class 4-5. So much so that I dropped from the intermediate point down into the basin 300ft below on so very loose gravel. Then climbed around the west side of the ridge and up to Cooper Creek Pk. Descended the direct line into the Silver Creek basin, steep rocks and tundra.
