9/20/2023 Route: cinnamon pass Posted On: 9/20/2023, By: zootloopz Info: Driving from Silverton was not as bad as expected. 1 hour 10 minutes to the top of the pass. Stock 4x4 tacoma long bed with slightly oversized tires aired down to 20 psi. A confident subbie driver with skid plates could make it in my opinion (although I personally wouldn't take less than my Taco). Roughest section felt like the 300 feet just after the Engineer Pass junction. If you can make it through that you're fine all the way to the top and down the other side. Wood was straight forward. An hour up from the pass. |

1/31/2020 Route: SE Ridge Posted On: 2/3/2020, By: SarahT Info: Started from Eureka. Several slides have crossed CO-110 but its in safe condition at the moment. After about 4 miles I veered off and went up the Cinnamon Creek drainage, the bottom of which is tight and spooky with massive, steep avy slopes on either side. Not recommended except in the best of conditions. Wood Mountain was plastered with snow to the tippy top, and even though I knew the slopes were generally less than 30 degrees it was still a little unnerving. |
