5/18/2025 Route: From West Willow Creek TH Posted On: 5/18/2025, By: Will_E Info: Did 13,030 and 13,115 from San Luis TH today. These are mostly walkups, other than the last part of 13,030' (looks sketchier than it is). I walked the road (503) to the pass, then straight to the north ridge of 13,030'. Ridge had a few snow slopes that weren't steep enough to need traction. After coming down I retraced my steps and followed the ridgeline (mostly) to 13,115', easy walk. I was glad to have taken snowshoes today, needed them on the way down the road. Cold, windy, blustery and snowy today, I didn't take many pictures. |

7/18/2024 Route: 13030/13115/13005/Baldy Lejos from West Willow Cre Posted On: 7/18/2024, By: JasonKline Info: The 13030/13115/13005/Baldy Lejos loop from West Willow Creek Trailhead is in full summer conditions with no snow/ice. Many people have reported 13030 as involving Class 3, but we thought it was only Class 2. |

6/19/2023 Route: From West Willow Creek TH Posted On: 6/20/2023, By: Scott Conro Info: Similar to Kiefer's report of "Baldy Lejos," route from West Willow Creek is mostly free of snow. Route to San Luis Pass is dry. I'd look for an option 1/4 mile from the pass to start looking for a direct line to reconnect to the CDT to avoid a large, sloping snowfield. Up high before the saddle, there is another snowfield to navigate, but spikes, poles, and good line judgement should get you up and down ok. The last few hundred feet go "easily" on C2 scree and rock. Not sure why there is a barricade blocking access from equity mine...the road to the TH is clear and there is no posted reason. Route from the west along the CDT has enough snow to warrant appropriate considerations. See Baldy Cinco conditions report for more info. |

8/31/2019 Route: South Ridge Posted On: 9/3/2019, By: supranihilest Info: Lots of Class 1 grass on the approach, then ugly Class 2 talus to the summit. If continuing on towards Point 13,020 D and "Baldy Lejos" be aware there are tons of ups and downs. Nothing difficult, just lots of elevation loss and re-gain. |
