Route: San Isabel Creek
Posted On: 6/13/2025, By: JasonKline
Info: I only did Gibson Peak (12,835') from San Isabel, but Mas Alto, Alto, and Menos Alto appeared to be in dry summer conditions. The water crossings were raging and high. They were consistently above my knees (OK, that's probably only up to your calves for many of you). My lower half was drenched the entire day.

Route: Hermit Pass loop of 13062-13060-13028

Info: Gorgeous day. Hiked from Hermit Pass to 13062 - 13060 - 13028 (in that order). Ridge from 13062 to 13060 is mostly tundra/embedded conglomerate rock. We bypassed the C4/C5 cliff on the east side, via the grassy ramp option. Once past the cliff, I ascended the first grassy gully back to the ridge (C2+) and my partner took the 2nd grassy gully. Both worked and both were similarly steep. The steep grass made the footing a little tricky so, I made ample use of the rock along the sides to steady myself. After regaining the ridge, we stayed just to the west of of the ridge all the way to the summit. A short section of boulder/talus hopping/scrambling near the top.
