6/23/2025 Route: Little Browns Creek Posted On: 6/23/2025, By: bigfoot1 Info: Plenty of parking at trailhead, 0 snow on trail, full summer conditions! A good amount of stinky horse poop at the beginning before the Colorado trail junction. |

6/14/2025 Route: Northwest Face Posted On: 6/14/2025, By: terribletigzy Info: I did a loop of Cronin, White, then Antero. Came from Cronins east ridge and White is entirely snow free on the northwest face. I don’t think I took the best route up, but I added the peak on a whim and didn’t have any beta. White is on the left side in the photo. |

There are currently 3 snow crossings starting at 11,800 but they're pretty firm for the most part. We didn't need spikes. Other than that, summer conditions. 13.2 miles, 4900' vert, 7.5 hours TH is 2wd accessible. Some of the dispersed camping may have been harder to access with 2wd but some are totally fine. |

3/15/2025 Route: From Antero-Cronin saddle via 277 Posted On: 3/15/2025, By: Will_E Info: The first section of road is pretty well packed, I didn't put on snowshoes until the creek crossing. Pretty easy trenching today, I went straight up a snow filled gully at treeline, good snow today, it got me pretty close to the saddle. I was a bit unprepared for a steep gully I needed to cross just before the saddle, had no axe or crampons so I went high up towards Antero to get around it, worked pretty well. The rest of the way to White wasn't difficult, no traction used today. Nice weather today, but views closed up a little before I reached summit (sleeping in FTL). Great day. |

1/28/2024 Route: Baldwin gulch Posted On: 1/28/2024, By: kyrawhitworth Info: Skinned up to 12500ft (below the plateau) and decided to drop skis in favor of taking a drier rib as the road was loaded in spots and we just couldnt side step it. Snowshoes werent needed for folks along the road until the Baldwin lake split at which point they were truly needed. Spikes really helped once we took skis off until Whites summit and back down to skis. Snow had variable fluff up high to make it slower going. Skied a great line down a gulley to connect back with the trail. Saw no real signs of avy danger on our route. The road down low had a few downed trees and ice flow enough to be frustrating on skis and it was hard packed. The faster two in our group also went on to Antero. Their only remark was that there were a couple spots along the ridge that required more attention. They took a more direct rib down to treeline vs following the road. |

12/31/2023 Route: Browns creek road Posted On: 12/31/2023, By: Geckser Info: Hit White from Browns Creek today with Arthurspiderman. Absolutely perfect day, no wind, very warm. The road had a great trench in it set by a seemingly enormous pack of snowshoers. We were able to skin up to about 12,500 and had trail runners for the last stretch. From the gulley the ascent to the ridge was loose and unpleasant. After reaching the strange saddle around Little Antero the route to the summit was easy and generally snow free. The descent was pretty fun, road is in passing shape with a few sharks and icefalls. Overall a cool winter peak, we even saw some sheep. Road is in great shape for Antero as well |

7/21/2023 Route: From Little Browns Creek Posted On: 7/22/2023, By: cdgibbons Info: Summer Conditions. From the saddle with Antero, I hiked up a jeep trail that shortcut the road to 13,200', and then the ridge direct which was straightforward class 2. There are other options all of which looked about the same. For the descent, I returned west to the first low point before the last fall summit, descended about 150' of steep sandy dirt to grass and then angled down to pick up the trail below the saddle. If you go this route, stay west of the summit as the slope east of the summit is sketchy. No other people, four mountain goats, though I was surprised to see a vehicle parked at 13,200'. 16.6 miles and 6200' round trip with Antero. |

7/6/2023 Route: Bicentennial Grand Slam Posted On: 7/7/2023, By: blazintoes Info: From Little Brown creek up Mt. White down into Big Brown Creek found a good spot to cross the creek and fill up water. Went up a NW slope between Tabeguache and Jones. Did Jones entire east ridge to locate the proper summit. Fun scramble out and back then up Tabeguache. The hike down was great but the hike up Carbonate was a loose scree fest. This is the land of many false summits. Use Spidey senses to find which ones to bypass. The ridge over to Grizzly was the hardest checking every foot and handhold twice. The rocks are looser and bigger. There was a good wind shelter on top of Grizzly. Very welcomed. There were more false summits to Mount Mamma and it would have been nice to move quickly because the rock was a scramble aficionado playground but the gusty west wind was in charge. Six more false summits later I was at last on Boulder mountain. Yippie!! The hike down FR 279 was so nice and I left my bike down there. I biked 22 miles mostly downhill back to my car at Little brown and for a successful bicentennial grand slam of a day. Felt like I climbed 65 mountains with all the false summits. White -Jones-Carbonate-Cyclone-Grizzly-Mamma-Boulder. 25 miles, 13,000 vert and 15 hours. |

2/18/2023 Route: From Brown's creek Posted On: 2/18/2023, By: Will_E Info: No summit. The trail breaking was pretty juicy today, see my excuse shots. I parked at the intersection of 272 and 273, about a mile and a half from the trailhead. There were tracks to the trailhead in the morning, but they weren't enticing enough for me to use them, they looked much better in the afternoon. First half mile there was a decent trench, after that I was breaking trail in snowshoes, got really deep and soft after turning off the Colorado Trail, I was really moving slow. Kept going until 11,000', still a long way away from treeline, didn't think I'd be able to summit before dark so threw in the towel. |

12/4/2021 Route: Browns Creek Posted On: 12/4/2021, By: angry Info: Summer conditions. Surprised to see so much traffic on the trail. Even more surprised to see people reach the false summit and then immediately descend. If you're going to put in the mileage/gain, perhaps a review of the topo would be helpful. |

11/26/2021 Route: Browns Creek Posted On: 11/26/2021, By: SionaRW35 Info: Barely any snow on this route. The worst it ever got was ankle deep. Spikes might be helpful above tree line. Summit register is missing a pencil. |
