6/1/2024 Route: NE face ski Posted On: 6/1/2024, By: SnowAlien Info: Started from Lost Man TH. Followed the trail, but lost it a couple times because of snowdrifts. Patchy snow until 11k+, so skis on, skis off. Still great coverage above treeline, and was able to skin to the summit (there's a big cornice peeling off). Skied a very short distance down the ridge and found a section without a cornice to drop into NE face. A bit of wet slide debris, but many options still exist. Lower basin had great corn, skied down Jack creek, which is trying to break through the snow. 5 hrs RT, some time lost in the trees on the way up with transitions. Nice to see Williamses in the full snow coverage |
