7/8/2025 Route: Up from Columbine lake, down to Ophir pass Posted On: 7/14/2025, By: SnowAlien Info: Nice combo of 3 unranked 13ers with Oscars and T12 from Ophir pass. Once by the Columbine lake, ascended the grassy gully (full of wildflowers) to the summit plateau. Went up to the weakness in the ridge, down the loose C2 gully. Scree skied down to the Ophir pass. |

7/31/2021 Route: West Ridge via Columbine Lake Trail Posted On: 7/31/2021, By: supranihilest Info: Contour around Columbine Lake on either side; since I was coming from Point 13,159 I contoured around the south side on steep, loose trash until I was under the west ridge of 13,300 E. I hiked up to the ridge crest and then scrambled up a very loose red gully (short Class 2+/Class 3) before crossing to the south side of the ridge which was easier. The summit block is huge and looks very difficult but if you skirt underneath it on the south side you'll find a loose Class 2 gully to the summit. Instead of going back down the red gully on descent I simply stayed on the south side of the ridge all the way back to the basin which kept it to Class 2. |

7/12/2020 Route: Northwest face gully Posted On: 7/13/2020, By: CaptainSuburbia Info: Nice seldom visited peak! Parked at last pullout on FR 821. 4x4 and clearance needed. Hiked 200 yards north then up a steep gully to 12800 feet. Took that contour line all the way to base of peak. Climbed gully on northwest face to saddle. One snow crossing where an accidental glissade would put you in lake. Short 2+ climb from saddle to summit. |
