Crags Trailhead

Info: The road is completely free of snow and passable by any car. Crags Campground itself is closed for tree fall mitigation, and not sure when it will reopen. There is parking about 500 feet before the entrance to the campground which I and many others used on Saturday.

Info: The road is open all the way to the campground, however the FS is doing some "tree maintenance", so the campground and clos in parking is not available. The road is probably passable in a higher clearance 2WD with some great care, but a 4WD would be recommended. It‘s pretty sloppy in the afternoon.

Info: Road is plowed past the campground, parking available 50 yards below the campground turnoff. 4WD not required, but snow-tires highly recommended.

Info: The dirt road off Hwy. 67 is still passable, though mostly snow covered (a few inches only). Cars have to be parked before the campground as it is closed for maintenance. That results in an extra walking distance of about 3/10 mile each way.

Info: Things are good to go here. A standard passenger car will make it just fine. You may need to slow down for a few potholes.

Info: My low Honda Accord made it. After the Menonite camp the road gets worse, lots of potholes and dips that I had to avoid.

Info: Yes road is dry and passable to the trailhead, just watch out for the big ass pothole about 75-80 yards from the TH goin in, it pretty much takes up the whole road, go slow and you'll be alright.

Info: Crags Campground is open. You could drive your Geo Metro up the road. Completely snow-free and any car could make it up.

Info: I did a hike in the area and decided to see if the road to the Crags TH is passable. You will still need 4WD as there is still around a foot of snow on the road with deep ruts. The snow begins about 1/2 mile past the Mennonite camp. Early in the morning it will be very icy in spots. I would expect it to melt out in a week or two barring any significant storms.

Info: Road is open just beyond the Mennonite Camp. Impassable beyond there. Many people have tried though and gotten stuck. No one maintains beyond that point anymore until the campground opens up for the summer.

Info: As of 03/03/07 There is still tons of snow on the trail from the Menonnite campground. There's a parking area a little ways up the trail from the M. campground, where the plow stops, i guess. From there, even if you have 4WD, there's a very high likelihood you'll be completely stuck, very quickly. The snow is very stomped down tho, so traveling by foot is easy, you can go w/o snowshoes up to Crags TH. From there, snowshoes are neccesary.

Info: Lots 'o snow. The road leading to the trailhead is plowed to about 1/2 mile past the Mennonite camp. From there people are parking and hiking the rest of the way to the trailhead so get an extra early start if you plan on taking this route.

Info: TH is still accessible by any vehicle, though snow is on the road so good tires would be a good idea.

Info: The road is clear all the way to the campground. There might be some mud from snow runoff in the afternoon.

Info: Any car with good tires can make it to the campground. Getting through the campground would take a 4X4
