 Above the Clouds on Evans
Not really the most monumental climb of all time, but I just wanted to share a link to a beautiful day we had this week on Evans. Completely unexpectedly, we found ourselves climbing above an inversion, with miles and miles of pillowy clouds below. It was a special day.

Link to the TR for anyone interested. Thanks!

Did you come up the west side from Guanella Pass then? If so, how was the trail near the gully going up to Mount Evans? Are there any sections that looked sketchy in terms of avalanching? Thanks!

For all the kind words and for reading my report. Really appreciate it! BTW....there were a few questions about conditions. Overall the whole route was in great shape, and I have to imagine it will stay that way for the rest of the season (assuming we don’t get a huge dump or two). Happy to answer more questions via PM for anyone who may want it.
