Bagels and BelOx

When the route write-up on the 14ers webpage advises that something (like the there-and-back of Oxford) is not a "walk in the park", don't take it lightly. I had the good fortune to be able to hike Mt. Belford and Mt. Oxford on 6/7, the earliest I've done a peak in a year before. Mt. Belford marked my halfway point of Colorado 14ers Despite incredible physical exhaustion, and running into some bad weather, it was a great start to another year of 14ers.

Nice report. I hope to do these in July. I will take two days to attempt to make it a little easier on my legs. Getting older.

The Sawatch sure changed quickly in a couple weeks! Summer might take its time getting here, but once it does it seems to happen very fast.

Did it yesterday, bro. It's a bear of a hike. High water crossing was pretty "exciting"!

I was the "tiny dot" person you ran into on the saddle that day lol. Resummitting Belford was a bit painful on me also. Definitely no walk in the park. Nice report, and glad to hear you made it out just fine, I heard the distant thunder when I was on my way out.

You did this so fast! It took us 11 hours last year...but we had no storms chasing us. Glad you made it safely. It is a very challenging combo but very rewarding
