 West Ridge from Clohesy

Weather/wind was 40-50 sustained and gusting to 75mph 2 days earlier when we did Bel-Ox and that forced us to bail on getting all three and led to us doing this route two days later. We used a friend's BIL's jeep and left out from the 4wd trail on Huron road where we camped and headed up 381. No problems crossing the creek. I think the trickiest part of the trail is coming out of the creek and negotiating the rocks. We drove all the way to the end of the TH and parked. It was straight up from there. RT my garmin fenix 8 had us at 5.2 miles and 3468ft of vertical gain. It was a beautiful hike looking back at Huron and watching it get temporarily socked in with weather (presumably flurries since temps were in low 30's at the time)and it narrowly missing us. We were out in back in less than 5hrs with multiple breaks included. One nuance I would recommend is when getting parallel to the lake you will come to a junction. You can go up and left or stay straight. Both options end up at the same place ultimately, but stay left/up, going straight is harder and more exposure, it might as well be a goat trail. I highlighted the route to take in purple! Over all the trail was what you expect in short distance with over 3k of vert, straight up. Coming down was as expected as well, less than fun. We were the only ones on this route and did not see any recent activity on it. Big take aways on this route are you need a high clearance vehicle and there are no flat sections on this trail when hiking, it's all straight up.
