Looks like A2 attempt is just now official on the fastest known time website… that’s pretty cool! Hopefully some cool articles will come out soon with them!

Nice! Can they not use the same submission for Female Supported FKT or can the FKT only be submitted once?

I would say that depends on what the rules of the challenge are. I think CaveDog was against muling to satisfy the Colorado Rule. If you're going at this with a partner, I can't see how you do that and not share in the effort of summiting -- unless you're simply not talking to each other which is kind of... sociopathic lol! NO SUMMIT SMOOCHES!

Hey guys! Just a clarification- we submitted this effort under a Mixed Gender attempt. In the past FKT had appreciated one submission category, that fit the effort best.

According to FKT rules it is understood that it is the equivalent to a supported female record or vise versa, supported male record.

So in the future, if a female wanted to break the female supported time, they would need to break our Co-Ed time, because that counts as a supported female or supported male individual record.

hi!
More clarification-
As far as Cave Dog’s rules goes we followed as much as we could considering that there were two of us. So within that 3000 foot rule zone of a peak only Andrea and I could help each other, no outside help was allowed. Others were allowed to come along as observers per Cave Dog standards but they could not lead, or provide any help like carrying packs or providing food and water or route guidance.

It’s pretty much the way the 14er record has been done since Cave Dog made those rules.

Andrew, that seems pretty clear. And since you worked as a pair from start to finish (which I agree is allowed according to Cavedog rules for group challenges), any future solo female record has to now better the coed record? Any female solo challenger would have to go by the, "no muling 3000'" rule but alone -- which would be a pretty major disadvantage as they wouldn't have essentially a teammate the whole way -- or go for the co-ed record, and virtually have the solo female record too. That to me doesn't seem equivalent. If we go by that, the co-ed record is now the female record as well for all intents and purposes.

It gets all hairy since working as a team isn't a different category for most FKTs on the site as it is for CaveDog's rules. Many of my own unsupported FKTs were bettered by teams of two which is very different for going at it alone.

The real questions are:

My apologies for hit and miss stats. Travelling, compounded by a hurricane, challenged this dinosaur. Here are my estimates of distance/elevation. Times are based on Andrea's Garmin.

Question: Looking at the Lake Como portion of data. Did they have someone 4wd them up the road as close as possible to the 3,000 feet mark below the summits??
