Great article! It's amazing to think of the profound impact you've had on the lives of so many people through this site - myself included. Thank you, Bill.

Time flies by irrespective of that, it’s more a function of age due to each successive year being a smaller percentage of your time on earth.:-D

I will echo what others have said. I got into 14ers due to G. Roach's book, but I strongly doubt I could have completed many of them without the fantastic advice, pictures, and descriptions that I have gotten here. Not to mention the sage advice of fellow climbers with more mountains under their belt than me, which would also be mostly not possible without 14ers.com. I still turn the pages of Roach's book, but this is my go to place when planning a climb. Love ya Bill.

Bill, what kind of coffee do you drink? We all need to send you bags and bags to keep those morning sessions going!

25 years...wow! That's a milestone for sure!
Thank you, and I hope to have many more years using and abusing this site!

My favorite quote from a Bill post to a user who had given him some lip… “Look here dummy…”

It was such a simple, appropriate, and perfect intro to the rest of what he had to say.

Thanks for the site, Bill, and all you’ve put into it. We’ve gotten a LOT out of your efforts.

Thanks for sharing. It was interesting to learn about the origins of the site and I never knew it had been around as long as it has. I never realized the personal financial commitment it involves for Bill or the sheer amount of time he spends climbing peaks to update routes. I enjoyed reading about the forum’s community based roots.

Assuming I reach the 14er finish line, I’ll definitely have to admit that it wouldn’t have happened without this site. I’d have climbed a few, maybe topped out with Long’s or something but I’ve just found it really helpful to get so much information in a certralized location. I’ve benefited greatly from conditions reports and 12 of my summits (including some tough ones like Little Bear and both Wilson’s) were reached with great climbing partners I met strictly through 14ers.com. The site has also provided a fun way to checklist the peaks.

Bill, thanks for everything you’ve done, and continue to do, to make this site work.

14ers.com facilitated millions of hours of pleasure for those who hike Colorado mountains.

The detailed information and crowdsourced advice probably saved a significant number of lives had this not existed.

I'm not sure what I would do at work if 14ers.com did not exist. Thanks Bill.

This site helped create more memorable trips and lasting memories than any other as well as meeting some great people along the way and becoming part of the Colorado climbing community.

Bill, "Thank You" seems totally inadequate, but still, THANK YOU for all of this.
