In case anyone is venturing out there, here are a couple shots of Big Pine area, south of Bishop in the Palisades. I was able to get in a nice couloir climb in the area. There is still quite a bit of snow there.
The second photo is showing Mt Kidd in the distance behind the South Fork trail.
Mt Whitney further south (not pictured) is also covered in snow - The Main Trail is snow free for the first couple of miles, after which the route becomes more vague and disappears under several feet of snowpack.
