Peak Ideas? End of March early April.
I have time off for my birthday at the end of March/beginning of April and have been wanting to get out and ski some big peaks but have gotten a bad case of analysis paralysis and cannot narrow down the list of possibilities. Any ideas? I live in the San Luis Valley and have two three day weekends, 30th-1st and 5th - 7th. I am a competent backcountry skier, mountaineer and a training ultrarunner so 20 miles on skis, +5000 vert is no problem. Also stoked to join anyone looking for a partner.

Snow pack will most likely be still winter like in structure at that point here in Colorado. Since you're in SLV you should check out Humphrey's Peak/San Francisco Mtns in AZ and possible stuff in southern Utah in the same trip. Also something in the Sangres in New Mexico might have possibilities by then. Colorado might be to early, unless we get a big warm up and that has issues unto itself.
