Denver Area Happy Hour - September

Post by wildlobo71 »

I asked ChatGPT to come up with a two-hundred word suspenseful paragraph about our latest event. Here'goes...

The vibrant hum of laughter and clinking glasses filled Chain Reaction Brewing Company (902 South Lipan Street, Denver,) as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was September 12th, and the monthly six o'clock happy hour for 14ers.com drew in the usual crowd of avid climbers and adventurers, eager to share tales from the peaks.

Amid the clamor, Sarah stood by the busy bar, her heart racing. She’d received a cryptic text that morning: “I know what you did last summer.” Chilled, she glanced around, searching for a familiar face, someone to reassure her. The dim light cast long shadows, and the din of conversation and laughter grew more strained, almost sinister.

As the crowd buzzed, she noticed a man in the corner, his eyes locked onto her. He was a stranger, yet oddly familiar, as if he carried the weight of their shared past. Her mind raced back to last summer’s fateful climb, an accident they had covered up to protect their reputations.

“Sarah,” the man called, his voice low and gravelly. “We need to talk.” The room fell silent, the bright chatter reduced to a whisper as heads turned toward them. She felt the cold grip of fear tighten around her. It was only the beginning of a night that would reveal secrets better left buried.

See you there! Feel free to continue the story...

Bump... for clarity, since it's not happening tonight (as per usual schedule) but next week, September 12th.
