ISO: CoSprings, rock & ice partner(s)

Hey all.

I'm not on MP but I thought I would try here.
I'm interested in meeting and climbing with folks in the Springs area.
I just started to get back on rock and want to continue as time allows. I'm not a .9 - .10 .hard climber and don't think I will be, but more in the .6 -.8 range, and will likely stay there!
Been climbing sport at Staunton and Red Rock Canyon O.S.

I'm solid on wi4 TR! Lol.
But that's only been in Lake City and Ouray ice parks. I haven't been on backcountry ice in a longgg time.

I'm 51, would be cool to meet up with similar age range but not necessary. Similar skill sets would be cool too but also not necessary. I'm willing to "teach" if someone is just learning.

Let me know if if you're interested in climbing ice or rock!
I think I am a safe climber. I have ropes and some gear and know how to set anchors.

that group is heavily focused on gym climbing of late and I've only successfully met one person to climb with outside in the 7 years since I joined it...but maybe carebaker will have better luck.

Someone climb with Darin dammit, I don't like seeing him cry, it's not a pretty sight. In all seriousness, having climbed ice with Darin numerous times he's fun to climb and chat with with and reliable. He gets the Supra Seal of Approval.

Hi Darin,
I came to the forum looking for winter 13er partners, but I'd be happy to climb with you sometime. I climb outside regularly; can lead, lead belay, clean, rap single pitch sport. Outdoors I lead 5.6-5.9 and top rope 5.10s, so I wouldn't call myself an especially talented climber either haha. I'm mid-30s, married with two young kids, but I care much more about knowledge and safety than age when selecting a climbing partner. Let me know if you'd like to meet up sometime at CityRock to get acquainted.
