Pikes Peak

Post by mprill02 »

From Iowa. Looking at making the trip out to Colorado in a few weeks. Main bucket list hike is Pikes Peak via Barr Trail. Curious how the conditions are and if this hike is doable with the snowfall on top. Coming equipped with trekking poles, and looking into snow shoes/micro spikes if deemed necessary.

To see snowfall on top, check this out:

Whether "doable" depends on you! ...maybe maybe not, depending your fitness and experience.

There is a conditions report just posted here:

Pikes Peak Hill Climb is coming up on the 22nd. Shouldn't effect Barr Trail at all but if your wondering what the loud noises are..... Have a great hike.
